Paul McLaughlin, Writer
Paul has been talking to people for a living all his working days. He began his career at CBC Radio where he moved back and forth between producing, including a stint at Morningside with Peter Gzowski and interviewing on-air.
He has written for most major Canadian magazines, and has produced four books and five plays (for stage and on CBC Radio), as well as numerous assignments for corporate and government clients. Along the way, Paul has won an award or two.
A part-time journalism and writing teacher for many years at Carleton, Ryerson and York universities, Paul is considered one of Canada's leading interviewing trainers. The author of the widely used text, Asking Questions: The Art of the Media Interview, he trains interviewers at CBC TV and Radio, teaches interviewing at Ryerson and lectures on interviewing throughout the country.
Paul loves to meet new people, learn interesting information and sink his writing teeth into challenging assignments. He is currently working on a book about the Toronto-based business success story, KIK Corporation.
